How Scoring Works
Submit your best catches. We verify the photos. Your five longest eligible fish create your final score.

Only fish caught during tournament hours, inside the tournament boundaries, and submitted before the cutoff can score. Only approved species count.

What a scorable photo looks like
Every submission is reviewed. Missing any of these can slow verification or disqualify the catch.
- Entire fish visible in frame
- Fish lying flat on the measuring device
- Snout aligned with the ruler start
- Tail and measurement marks clearly readable
- Approved event identifier visible in the photo
- Photo is sharp — not blurry, cropped, or altered
- Fish handled and released promptly whenever possible

Anglers are responsible for confirming current California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations — bag limits, minimum sizes, seasons, and retention rules — before fishing. These cards are for identification only.

Modes the director can activate
These modes are wired but off by default. None affect scoring unless the tournament director explicitly configures and activates them for this event.
Species point mode
Assign per-species point values instead of, or on top of, total length. Requires a configured points table.
